That's exactly the point.  Whenever there is a blockbuster semi, the winner staggers on to court the next day and has no chance of holding up the trophy.  It's a shame, but that's the way it is and it's no disgrace.

Fed's beaten him once in the last 7 to 8 matches, nothing to be ashamed of for Rafa.  It's been a dream year for him, imo. Smile

Feel pretty gutted for Rafa.  He's hurting but usual gracious speech ... usual verbal diarrhea from Fed.

yes He just looked shattered Frown Ah well he's still had an amazing year and got further this year than he did last in the Finals so he knows he's done well yes

And I'm glad it wasn't Andy the other side of the net.  It's bad enough seeing Fed all smug having beaten Rafa (who I think is great) but I would hate to have seen it twice in a week.    And we know how smugFed can put the knife into Andy - win or lose.
