I think she is 3rd on court, and the first match starts at same time as Anne's

Elena's Match has just started, and as I slept from 9pm to 1.30, so am wide awake, I'll probably be watching the score and will keep you posted.
*fingers crossed for her*
Oops, just lost her opening service game.
3 love down now. Poor Elena.

Yuan serving for the match. At least the scoreline isn't so awful Lost 2/6 4/6
Once again, no British women in a Grand Slam. That's a terrible indictment of our overly fat cat tennis associations isn't it?
Oh to be able to tell the old farts to retire and leave it up to those with vision. Queen Judy would be an excellent choice to overhaul the women's game.
*sigh*

From the BBC...
Quote
The 22-year-old, who reached the third round proper last year, made 42 unforced errors as she was comfortably beaten by China's Meng Yuan 6-3 6-4.
Baltacha, the world number 122, will now see her ranking slide.
Fellow Brit Anne Keothavong also went out as she lost a battling contest 2-6 6-7 to American Vania King.

Yup, will sink - don't know where to, but it won't be good.
She's a real trier, Baltacha. I really wish her more success this year.
