Just watched the Monfils v Kukushkin match from yesterday , and have to encourage you to watch it as it is the most mind boggling match I have ever seen. Monfils should really not be called a professional the guy is a way with the fairies . He seems to want to waste his talent on playing to the crowd than finish an important point .

I think we should give credit to Monfils as he played that match with a bad back couldn't bend, just kept hitting back. Many another player would have thrown in the towel after the first set. He is a great athlete and a player that Andy loves to watch.

If the guy is happy doing what he does, then I don't have a problem with it. He is probably happy to make a comfortable living whilst having a lot of fun at the same time. Not everyone is ultra-competitive.

Monfils is great, and I like him he has plenty of spirit and is a great entertainer. When fully fit he plays a great game. Yesterday he had back problems and did his best he could have thrown in the towel.

Yeah, but he would have fallen doing that.

I know I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

'Monfils, while seemingly an idiot, still has time to accept that the idea in tennis is winning'.
'Monfils seems to have decided that he doesn't need much more out of his career than a good round of applause after he hits a spread-eagle overhead'.
