Interesting, I wasnt aware of that. Glandular fever can be very debilatating which can last a long time if its a bad dose. Maybe its taken it out of him?
Well it certainly looks like he's on his way back - just got to build on these wins and back them up next year! i must say though i like his apparent mental tuffness!!

Can't find anything specifically about an all-Brit final, but Ward's 20/1 to win the tourney and Andy's 6/4 favourite. I'd have thought you'd get about 10/1.

Here's a thought. Say Ward makes the final and plays Andy - we'd have a Londoner, a cabbie's son, no less, playing Murray in Britain's second most high-profile ATP event (ignoring the O2).
It'll get a much-higher audience than usual and all the English thick-as-pigshit Sun readers will be backing Ward. Could do damage to five years of bridge-building with the English public.
It doesn't bear thinking about! What a scenario that would be.
I hope Andy beats Andy. I expect him to but Tsonga will have an inflated ego after giving Rafa a good pasting.

Is Yamor around?
Ward has gained 90 points, but I think he's defending 45 from Eastbourne last year, when he made the quarters, beating Lopez and Schuettler.
This week's 45-point swing would put him up around 190 and surely give him a wildcard into Wimbledon, which he didn't get last year. If he makes the 3rd round there, that's another 90 points. He'd be pushing the top 150.

Yamor only appears now and again
Be great if he could get a WC ... now that you mention it, bet he does get one.

Yes, the committee was embarrassed last year. It was the first time ever that NO English men had made the main draw. They'll want to correct that.

Yamor is a secret squirrel, and has bigger fish to fry. That's my guess!
