It's not raining in most places
Quick check of the weather shows that it's a hellava lot warmer over there too.

It has been raining at Halle, but Centre court has a roof.

That would explain the dry looking court
So, it's been reported on tonights weather that the UK is about to encounter a once in 50 years storm that's going to dump a months worth if rain in 1 day. I'm guessing the tennis will be postponed today then

That doesn't sound good!
I bet the Queens tournament director is not happy at the moment. So far the following players have all lost before the QF - Andy, Tsonga, Simon, Roddick, Lopez, Benneteau, Baghdatis - and Tipsarevic was down a set before play was suspended last night! Cilic, Nalbandian and Dimitrov are still standing at the moment - will be interesting to see who actually takes the title on Sunday!

[/quote] Agreed. There'll be some serious issues to consider. After all there have been previous years of bad weather, contingency plans etc. Decimation of top seeds suggests a real problem on the technical side.

I bet he isn't! Everything conspiring against him.
Do we know how Tsonga is?

Yes it does suggest that there is a lot more to it than players playing poorly. For Andy and Tsonga especially to lose so early in a grass tournament is really unusual. Andy said to his team that it was like playing on ice, it did look so slippy - never a good sign when players are sliding to get into position on a grass court! I can see a lot more players wanting to enter Halle next year where there's a roof so won't have this problem with wet courts.

The latest I heard was that he was going back to France to have a scan on his finger but he doesn't think it is good and thinks it could be broken. Would be such a shame if he has to miss Wimbledon after his great play there last year.

Think I'll be staying in this weekend then if it's going to be as bad as this!

Thanks for the update on Tsonga.
I'm not getting any livescores up for Queens, so has rain stopped play?

They played about 25 minutes before rain. Tipsy/Lu match a complete turn around from yesterday, with Tipsy winning nearly every point.
Not Queen's but "other players" - Fed on his match today:
Q: Next round you’ll play Raonic. The match in Madrid was quite close. The conditions were also quite fast. How dangerous is the match tomorrow?
FEDERER: Actually there is no control what so ever in that match. Somehow it isn’t a tennis match but more of continuous penalties. So, I’ll hope to jump into the right corner as tomorrow’s goalkeeper. It doesn’t need to be all the time but at least at the important moments. So, I’m looking forward to the match and will not get frustrated. It’s part of the grass court tennis to play great servers, who will get a lot of free points on their serves. So, for sure it will not be easy tomorrow.

Did the BBC say that this is Lu's 2nd ATP quarter-final? It's actually this 8th.

Over at Halle, Nadal is down 3-6, 3-5 against Kohlschreiber. He's won 13 out of 54 return points - and most of those were in one game.
.....and Nadal goes out in his 2nd match 6-3 6-4.

Not surprised to see Rafa lose, he rarely makes it past the QF in his pre-Wimbledon warmup events. Never does him any harm though.
