Having just briefly checked out your latest contribution to the Religion thread, I was interested to learn recently that both Rafa and Xisca still live with their parents, not shacking up together as we in Britain might have expected. Nice to know that some still retain traditional high moral values.
I don't know what their views are, but considering where their from and the culture then predominance of the Catholic church in Spain would feature in this, and would explain why there is more of an issue about unmarried co-habitation in some areas. I also know that Rafa has said in the past that he didn't like the thought of what a fridge would look like if he left something in it and wasn't back for over a month Anyway, I'm off to bed nice chatting Aileen

But Rafa and his family are not religious. Don't know about Xisca. Shame he didn't go to her graduation though. Bit shocked at that. Maybe he didn't want to take her special day away from her with all the attention?

I think that is exactly why he did not show up .... apparently the world's press was there (perhaps, just in case)

Still, if Rafa were my b/f I'd want him by my side. But I get his modesty and thoughtfulness. Partly why I adore him so much.

She looks absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Lucky boy. I hope she comes to Rogers Cup with him again. She did in '08.

I don't think it's as much to do with religion as with respecting traditional values, which I think the Spanish rate quite highly. I'm absolutely sure Rafa deliberately kept away from her graduation. He knew there would be a media scrum which would be uncomfortable not only for her but for the other people present. Oooh he's such a lovely lad I'd bet my Piggie contents that he wasn't far away ...
Probably disguised as a palm tree ...
