There's been so many first time winners in the last few years there've bound to have been a few.

Who did Li, Kvitova, Schiavone, Azarenka, Kuznetsova all beat in their finals?

Na beat Schiavone at the French Open 2011
Petra beat Sharapova at the Wimbledon 2011
Francesca beat Stosur at the French Open 2010
Victoria beat Sharapova with the loss of only 3 games in Australian Open 2012
Svetlana beat Dementieva at the 2004 US Open

As Andy fans we can gloss over the fact that the match was not the greatest contest between these 2 players, for the neutral it was probably pretty boring, but on the flip side we as Andy fans think that was probably the greatest final of all time Smile

Sorry, disagree. Every element of that match was enthralling. The two top men locked in a momentum swinging series of games at the centre of the tennis world on a historic occasion. It could have gone either way right down to the championship points. Even Djokovic could take some consolation from being part of history, as he graciously alluded to in his comments at the end.

Why are you apologising for disagreeing? you're welcome to your opinion, as am i Smile but i stick with mine which is due mainly to chatting to people who had no vested interest in the match, they thought as slam finals go it was pretty humdrum, not everyone likes 2 players sharing 25 shot rallies for 3 hours, it was sort of similar to his Miami win, of course it's hard for us to view the match from a neutrals persepective.

On twitter all the neutrals were going nuts. They loved it.

I'm only talking about genuine tennis fans here, as they're the only people I follow.
