I wouldn't mind seeing the Soderling/Gulbis match, that could be quite an interesting one if Gulbis plays his 'A' game.

Monfils was due to play Gonzalez, then he retired, then he was gonna play PHM, but now he is playing someone else as well!

Mofils is playing Devvarman, an Indian, he looks very decent, like a brick wall at the back of the court!

Hope its OK to start this thread but I'm watching Nalbandian/Soderling match and this reminded me of Ruthie's post on the 'Ranking' thread when she said 'Well I know Soderling has v few points to defend but if Nalbandian could do us the favour of knocking him out and then running out of steam when he faces Andy (assuming Andy makes the QF that is and I'm not counting my chickens etc), this should be do-able. Especially if Andy could do better at Cinci this year.
I know it's all hypotheticals but I had rather resigned myself to him falling to #5 - so there is cause for hope'. Nalbandian is playing so well at the moment and Barry Cowan reckons he's the most on-form player in this tourney so, as Ruthie says, maybe there is hope that Andy will retain his No.4. I believe he has to go deep into the tourney to do this - if not actually reach the final - we shall see.

Having said that Soderling has just broken Nalbandian.

Having lost the first set, Nalbandian broke Soderling in the first game of the second only to lose his own service game. Nalbandian seem to be a little off form today which is a great pity! Whistle

Oh just tuned into Nalby v Soderling nervous looks like it will be going to a 3rd set Smile soderling took the first set 6-4 but is down a break in the second 2-3*

Hope so (though just gone to deuce I see on live score) and hope that Nalby wins but that the match is suitably exhausting so that if he meets Andy tomorrow he'll have run out of steam.  Ha ha he's done it so gone to 3rd set. Great.
