This is the second time I've heard/read that Mirka's due date is the first week in August. MONTREAL -- Organizers of the Rogers Cup are hopeful Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will be able to play next month.
Nadal's chances of appearing at the Aug. 8-16 event in Montreal are good despite the knee injury that prevented the Spaniard from playing Wimbledon, tournament director Eugene Lapierre said at a news conference Wednesday.
Lapierre said he received word from Nadal's team this week that the defending champion will be ready.
Federer's wife, Mirka, is supposed to give birth just as the tournament gets going, and the Wimbledon champion hasn't indicated yet whether he will be at the event.
Players who are scheduled to play include Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick.

Sounds about right. Would be funny if he played and then she went into labor! Whats the procedure for that  ? He has to retire? Now that would be one to see, Mirka going into labor in the middle of a match!! |

I actually thought she was looking quite distressed during parts of the Wimbledon final and I think I read somewhere afterwards that Federer himself thought she was going into labour .... |

I actually thought she was looking quite distressed during parts of the Wimbledon final and I think I read somewhere afterwards that Federer himself thought she was going into labour ....

What I'd REALLY really like to know is how they managed to get two babies who are only three weeks old to fly comfortably. What about the pressure on their tiny ears? Also, from the link you posted recently it looks to me like they had to stay in hospital till the babes' weight got to the right level - they are really tiny ..... why would they take babes so young who have just reached their "discharge from hospital" weight on such a trip ? |

They flew with a private jet and they have a pediatric doctor with them .... |
