Rome Masters - Other Players
« on: May 09, 2011, 11:28 AM »
Well Jamie and Stan are out in the first round of the doubles, he really needs to find himself a full time partner instead of just picking randoms all the time, he's never going to get into any kind of rhythm.

Andy Roddick is out, I wonder how much longer he'll keep playing for.

There are some interesting parallels between the careers of Jamie and Andy...

The tennis channel reports that there are no americans in the top ten now.even the williams girls have slipped very far. Which makes me want to take my hat off to our Andy who through thick and thin has maintanied his # 4 stop. The lone Braveheart.

Coaching situation, early success followed by some wandering in the wilderness.

And poor Roddick got bumped by Simon in the first round. Bad times for Roddick - wonder if it is all over for him.

Apparently he has gluten intolerance. If this is the case, it's very debilitating.

He had some asthma problems in the past, seems under contol now. Right now, he's playing just enogh for a win.
Edit Wawa is falling apart(don't like him) and some super shots from Nole.

I think this is connected. With the best will in the world, I can't dismiss Djokovic. Whatever problems he's had, he's faced them and the rest, or else, he'd not be a winner. I don't like that people put down winners through churlishness that their chosen man doesn't win. All of us on here love Andy and we want him to win, but to attack others above him, is just silly right now.

Hope this doesn't refer to me. I agree with the thesis that you shouldn't hate a player just because he is winning., but you have to admit that there are people who you like more/less then other. The causes may be different, it doesn't matter, in the end. In my previuos post I stated that i don't like Wawrinka. Why? Heard he left his family, don't like that kind of people.
