I'm a Delpo fan so would like him to win tonight - I do really like Llodra's style though so wouldn't be too disappointed if he won.

Here's a Canadian junior to keep an eye on:

Junior Grand Slam results - Singles:

Australian Open: F (2012)
French Open: F (2012)
Wimbledon: W (2012)
US Open: W (2012)

Junior Grand Slam results - Doubles:

Australian Open: QF (2012)
French Open: 1R (2011, 2012)
Wimbledon: QF (2012)
US Open: 2R (2012)

Made the Rimouski CH semis last year as well. Beat Broady in last year's junior USO final, 7-5 in the 3rd after Broady had several break points at 4-4 and 5-5. Was quite heartbreaking for Liam.

But yeah, top junior player. The '94 generation has quite a few. Broady has serious talent but struggles mentally and had a poor 2012 after being the leading player for his generation in 2011 with Saville. Saville and Peliwo both top players, Coppejans and Cagnina too. Then there's Novikov, who came from nowhere to get a WC and then win at the USO last year.

Future's looking bright for Canada with Raonic, Pospisil and Peliwo.

I really pity her...she is just 22 and could have achieved greater heights..

Just heard this on the news. Not sure where it fits. Hope this is ok.

Murray and Henman will be competing in a Charity Doubles match on finals day.

Will be making a contribution for the pleasure I get from watching Murray. Particularly that lovely, lovely Gold Medal.

Tommy Haas retired in the first game of his match against Lopez, how odd.

Good weeks for Sock, Delbonis and Tursunov. Little of note besides that. Sijsling so nearly toppled Cilic (went down 9-7 in a final set tie-break) after beating Tsonga the other week.

Memphis QFs:

Cilic/Nishikori
Dolgopolov/Matosevic
Istomin/Russell
Lopez/Sock

Marseille:

Berdych/Janowicz
Tursunov/Muller
Tsonga/Tomic
Del Potro/Simon

Buenos Aires:

Ferrer/Fognini
Robredo/Reister
Wawrinka/Ramos
Almagro/Delbonis

This is also on News Articles thread, but the more publicity, the better! Ross was on Breakfast TV this morning, and said the match would be on BBC2.

It's also Ross's birthday today. ATP World Tour ā€¸posted this: ATP World Tour@ATPWorldTour

Ross mentioned that Colin was doing well without him - and Colin & Rohan have just won their SF in Marseille 7-5 6-1

Illness apparently

Jack Sock moved through to his second tour-level quarter-final after defeating fellow wild card James Blake 7-5, 6-4. Sock saved nine of the 10 break points he faced to clinch the win in one hour and 48 minutes. The 20 year old will take on Feliciano Lopez in the quarter-finals. Lopez advanced when sixth seed Tommy Haas withdrew prior to their match with an illness.

Simon has beaten Del Potro in Marseille - 64, 63. It's never an easy matchup for either player, but Gilles played an excellent match today. I don't suppose Delpo is too disappointed really considering he won the title in Rotterdam.

Pleased that Nishikori is still doing well in Memphis - I'd really like him to win the title there.

I was just watching the highlights of Ferrer/Nalbandian from last night - this is the first time I've ever seen a cat at a tennis match sitting in the stands!!

Simon's an odd bunny. Absolutely ineffective against the top guys, prone to losing to lower ranked players yet he has a great record against the likes of Berdych and Del Potro. DelPo possibly tired though.

Great result for Nishikori, and likewise for Matosevic. Hard to believe he wasn't even in the top 200 at the start of 2012. Huge opportunity for Nishikori to win his second 500 now.

SFs:

Memphis:

Nishikori/Matosevic
Lopez or Sock / Istomin or Russell (Lopez/Sock on now, Lopez up a break)

Marseille:

Berdych/Tursunov
Tsonga/Simon

Buenos Aires:

Ferrer/Robredo
Almagro or Delbonis / Wawrinka (Almagro up a set)

I remember reading about him last year, must have been after US Open. I think he is the first guy to reach the finals of all 4 Junior Slams in the same year since Edberg?

He's a tough matchup for Federer - their head to head is 2-2. Although both of Gilles' wins came in 2008 (when he also beat Rafa), he pushed Federer to 5 sets in the 2011 Australian Open. I think generally he likes playing aggressive players as he can counterpunch very well and the aggressive players get frustrated by him getting all their would-be winners back. He's struggled a lot with injury since 2009, but if he can have an injury-free year, he could make it back to the top 10 - he's at 13 now.
