Surprised noone shouted 'cmon Andy'  Whistle
I see they've picked up the interview with Ross in the Indie today.  Amazing that he can put Andy's win over his own health.  I have a feeling that Andy would probably say the exact opposite ie that Ross's remission was more important than winning the big W.  What is lovely is to see such a deep and genuine friendship between two exceptional young men.

Surprising news - it'll be interesting to see how this coaching setup goes.

I don't quite know why, but this news doesn't surprise me. I get the feeling Becker is a bit of a Djokovic fan. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

Have to say that I had to do a double-take at the date to make sure it wasnt April fools with that news! Very odd!

Hope this means we will all be without his spellbinding commontary for a few years!

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

Recently, Becker has merely become the object of ridicule after releasing his latest work in "literature" and all the marketing around it. In fact, he has never had any professional success as a tennis coach (he once was Davis Cup captain). On the other hand, Lendl did not play an active role in tennis either after his retirement. Nevertheless, for me this announcement is not really convincing and not at all comparable with what Andy expected of Lendl.

Is Vajda ill or something?  I'll give Becker 6 months maximum.  Quite like him but think he'll be a lousy coach.

Vajda's wife has been ill.

Also, his daughter plays tennis too.

There are various reason why he wants to travel less.
