ooh Nottingham so close to where I live though I guess Andy won't play here.
Obviously Andy has to think about the money to pay for his entourage +  secure his long term financial interests after he retires from the tour but that doesn't mean it's what motivates him.   I've never got the impression from his words and actions that money is the motivator.  He wants to be the best and win slams.

Indeed! But check before you book - I'm just going by this:

Neil Harman ‏@NeilHarmanTimes  5h
Italian Federation has chosen Naples for @DavisCup venue v GB in April. Up to locals to meet ITF requirements then it's all set.

Safe to assume that I think. Fognini doing rather well on clay at the moment, winning the title in Vina del Mar last week, and in the Buenos Aires final tomorrow

Good.  It's in the southernmost part of Italy, so should be pleasantly warm at that time of year.

Nadal is back but knows 'opportunities are not infinite'  [Fox Sports]

Rafael Nadal is back, and it's all about his back.

Top-ranked Nadal injured his back warming up for the final of the Australian Open almost three weeks ago, eventually losing against Stanislas Wawrinka — a match he was an overwhelming favorite to win.

Nadal has practiced little since then, getting treatment at home in Mallorca. His first test comes in next week's Rio Open, a new stop on the ATP Tour.

''We'll have to see how it goes,'' he said Friday. ''I hope I can tolerate it.''

If it really is his back, then why not say so instead of inventing an excuse he's already used and which didn't fool anyone anyway?

Uncle Toni has a 'Random Injury Generator' that he uses when composing press releases.
