Anyone watching the Veterans? Nice to see Mac yesterday, showing off some of his magic, though as Forget last played a competitive match in August and had stepped off a plane 3 hours earlier, hardly opposition.
Nice doubles with Santoro and Moya against Tim and Lundquist (?)  once they'd settled.
Court is so slow though shocking They were returning smashes with ease.

It was Enquist who played with Tim. Smile I watched it last night too - really enjoyed the doubles match. Lots of fun rallies - Santoro is always so good to watch, he can play so many different shots. Nice to see Moya again too - he seemed to be really enjoying himself.

I saw the veterans too, although I missed most of the first set with Mac and Forget. I'd put the DVD on of Andy beating Raonic at the USO (I needed a fix!) and got hooked, completely forgetting the veterans until it had been on for a while. Still, I caught most of it I think.

Mac was in good form and is clearly still as driven as ever. Forget played some good stuff at times, but wasn't consistent enough.

The doubles was fantastic fun, some of the rallies were great. Moya looked like he was enjoying himself immensely. I agreed with what was said in commentary, that Santoro is the natural successor to Bahrami. Some of his shot-making was amazing. In a way he reminded me of Andy in the way he plays, but I know Andy admires him, so maybe that was it. I wondered if Tim had run as much as that for a while. His legs seemed to be going towards the end. It was great to hear the crowd enjoying it too.

The one thing I did think was that the court colour is horrible, all that grey. For a minute I thought my colour had gone on the TV!

I agree with you about the court colour TJ - most unimaginative.

Court colour showed up well on TV though, I thought.
Thank goodness Mac now has "normal" hair colour, he was ginger at Wimbledon shocking
How hot is Moya? wub
Cheers for that Katie, oops never heard of him b4  doh
Saw a bit of Tim's match, but "K3" bigger priority.

Tignor saying that Fed-Delpo Olympic semi was the year's 3rd best match. I've heard too many times that the 19-17 3rd set did Fed in for the final, but it only equates to a standard five-setter, maybe 6-3 in the fifth. Anything to discredit Andy.

Fed only has himself to blame for the longevity of that match - he was serving for it at least an hour before.  Pleb!

Yes, but only for next year. They are going to review the situation again after next year. Apparently the LTA isn't pleased about the change, for reasons I can't work out.

No Andy Murray matches in Tignor's top ten of the year. But he hasn't named his number one yet... USO final?

looks like there may be more grass court tournaments in future once they widen the gap between RG and Wimbledon:

Nope, Tignor went for Nadal-Rosol as his number one. So the USO final didn't even make top ten.
