Davydenko has just put on a masterclass against Ferrer in Doha - he didn't face a breakpoint all match. Ferrer was struggling to hold serve every game. Amazing tennis from Davydenko.
He's ranked 44 right now - could be a dangerous early round opponent in the AO if he can keep this form up. Though he does have a habit of playing well in Doha (I remember him beating Rafa by a similar scoreline and then losing early in Australia). It would be good for the game if he can play well again though - last year was disappointing.

And at the Chennai tournament Berdych has lost 5-7 6-2 3-6 to Roberto Bautista Agut (ranked 80) and Wawrinka to Aljaz Bedene (86) 2-6 6-7. Cilic lost to Benoit Paire (47) but Tipsy managed to beat Go Soeda (60)

Amazing to see the number of seeds that have gone out in Doha, and in Brisbane too I believe. Kind of puts Andy's little spot of bother against Millman in some perspective.

Yeah it's to be expected I guess at the beginning of a new season. Bit shocked at Berdych's loss though I didn't see the match. Looks like Chennai will be Tipsy's tournament now, barring any more upsets.

Meanwhile, Nole completely thrashed Tommy Haas earlier today 6-2 6-0. Eeek! Tommy withdrew from the mixed dubs and jokingly said he didn't want to be up against Nole again, and was thinking of retiring from tennis.

Interesting day in Chennai. Paire has been on fire throughout this week, could see him winning there.

Yep. I'm here in Chennai and can't believe it is so damn difficult to get a ticket for the finals... Tipsy still there and hope that he wins it...

Andy Murray fan since 2009.

In Chennai personally I'm in the Roberto Bautista-Agut camp, that win yesterday over Tomas was simply stupendous.

I enjoyed the Doha final today - both Gasquet and Davydenko played very well and both were under pressure at different times in the match. Davydenko really should have won as he was a set and 4-2 up, with break point to go 5-2. But Gasquet showed a lot of determination and kept fighting even when the match looked lost - good to see.
I think this means that Davydenko now won't be seeded for the AO, though he did pick up an injury today so that may mean he's not fully fit in time anyway. Hope he won't be too disheartened by his loss today - the way he's played all tournament has shown that he still has good tennis left in him.

Pretty lonely too, if there's only the one. 3.3 million followers on twitter and 1.3 million 'likes' on her FB would suggest otherwise. Our beloved Andy has a long way to go to catch up with those numbers. Just saying..
