Just read that John Isner is out of the AO with a knee injury, Andy can breathe a sigh of relief
although he can be dangerous on his day i guess.

Fleming and Soares through to the final in Auckland where they will play Brunstrom and Nielsen.
It was a very tight match against Knowle and Polasek (7-6 7-6), with hardly a point lost on either serve until 4-4, then a break of serve each. F & S won the first tie break 7-0!

Pleased that they're through to the final - hope they can win the title here.
Ferrer's also through to the final in Auckland, and will play Kohlschreiber.
In Sydney Tomic's continued his good form and will play Anderson in the final - hope he can win the title. Benneteau lost a close one against Anderson (36 64 76(8) - saving 2 MPs).

Djokovic, bidding for a hat-trick of Australian Open victories after downing Rafael Nadal in a titanic five-set final last year, will start his defence against Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu in the first round.
Second seed Federer, bidding for his fifth Australian title, begins his Melbourne campaign against Frenchman Benoit Paire, while Murray takes on Dutchman Robin Haase first up.

Pleased that Ferrer won the singles title in Auckland - tough first set for him where he was a break down twice, Kohlschreiber served for the set and had a set point, and then was also ahead in the tiebreak. But Ferrer kept the pressure up and earnt the first set and ran away with it after that. He's now equalled Roy Emerson's record of winning the Auckland title 4 times (and for Ferrer, 3 times in a row).
Good to see Tomic win his first title today in Sydney. Really impressive start to the year for him. I'll be interested in seeing if he can take this form elsewhere on the tour this year. In previous years he's played well in Australia but hasn't been able to maintain his form. I've a feeling that this year will be differerent though.

Tomic has such an unorthodox forehand, not dissimilar to Dolgopolov. His arm looks like it's tucked into his body when he makes it.
Got a delightful backhand slice though.

Just saw the Williams sisters in an iPhone advert. Both looking very peaky and fit.

Nielsen was in Sydney, playing singles. He wants to concentrate on singles and get his ranking to the top 100.

Nope sorry, It was Freddie with Brunstrom, but Freddie was playing singles in Auckland. Marray wasn't present. Besides I think Marray is partnering Chris Sa now.
