I was sent a PM from a member saying they were finding it a struggle to read ordinary threads because often there are loads of large photos dumped in there too. I agree this can be a problem as images can cause the browser to bounce all over the place until they are loaded.

So out of consideration for those with poor connections and those people who only want to read and not have to struggle to get past lots of images to do so, from now on please can general tennis photos be put in here Smile

I agree.... good move Mark. clap It was becoming such an effort reading through posts, waiting for the photos to load.

The thing is, what about photos in threads like 'Rafael Nadal'... do you think this also applies there?

Yes, maybe a limit for threads that are not picture specific.

Personally... when there's 4+ big images it really irritates me. But i understand why people post/like having the images. So maybe a limit would be good.

What about 2 photos person per page? This means the same person can't keep posting photos every other post.

Yeah I suppose, I was thinking that you could get loads of people per page posting up images but that would probably be fairly uncommon.

I didn't want to create a new rule so I added it to our current spam rule:

Spam is typically considered to be repetitive posting of the same text again and again or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Posts of this nature are not conducive to community spirit and are unwelcome. Out of consideration for those with poor connection speeds, posting more than four images per page on non-photo specific threads is considered spamming.
