Just done a quick google search and came up with this -

Canadian doubles, also known as cutthroat tennis, is a method of playing tennis with three players. It pits two players against one player on the court at the same time. The only major rule variation between Canadian doubles and traditional doubles tennis is that the team of two players can only hit the ball within the single player's singles lines, whilst the single player can hit into the full doubles court on the two player's side. Canadian doubles is used as a training method, to work on shot-making, accuracy and teamwork.  It is also used when one player is significantly better than the other two.

And I'm sure I've seen pics or a video of Andy using this for training purposes.

Kei Nishikori faces a race to be fit for the US Open later this month after having a cyst removed from his right foot.

The Japanese player had the procedure on Monday night in Charlotte, North Carolina, and his agent Oliver Van Lindonk said Nishikori would fly to Florida on Tuesday to start his recovery.

Nishikori, ranked 11 in the world, has been troubled by the injury in recent weeks and lost in the quarter-finals to Richard Gasquet last week in Washington.

He will definitely miss the tournament in Cincinnati next week and is something of a doubt for the US Open, which starts at Flushing Meadows on August 25.

"Martina Navratilova Proposes During US Open"

Not one to be out-done, tennis great Martina Navratilova has proposed to her long-term partner Julia Lemigova in considerable style.

After watching Kei Nishikori's stunning victory over world number one Novak Djokovic at the men's US Open semi-finals, tennis fans were given another surprise treat.

Navratilova popped the question on the big screen of the packed Arthur Ashe Stadium, drawing a loud cheer from the crowd.

"I was very nervous," the 57-year-old said afterwards.

"It came off. She said yes.

"It was kind of an out-of-body experience. You've seen people propose at sporting events before, in movies, in real life. Here it was happening to me.

"It was like I was watching myself do it."

I wish them a long and happy life together. Smile

Minimum ban for doping increased from two years to four

Drug cheats in sport face a minimum four-year ban under new rules which came into effect from 1 January.

Changes to the World Anti-Doping Code, which unifies anti-doping rules for global sports, have increased the suspension for doping from two years.

Other changes will see less leniency given for missed tests but possible reduced bans for helping investigators.

Positive comments from three out of four, especially Bodo's with his Mark Twain quote, and Nina should remind herself of just why Andy was struggling, but only the coming months will tell.  I don't think though that any of the young guns are ready to make an impact on them yet anyway, at least not this year.
