The DFS Classic, Birmingham

Quote

I've just booked tickets for this tournament...... I'm going on the Tuesday..... should be fun!

Should hopefully see quite a few top WTA players.... Daniela Hantuchova, Elena Likhotseva, Tatiana Golovin Smile, Jelena Jankovic Smile, Sania Mirza, and Martina Navratilova have all already confirmed........ and I hear Sharapova might play too? Plus there should be other players aswell.

Anyone else going?

Should be a fun day... and then 2 weeks after I'm off to Wimbledon  Wink

Drove past the venue the other day... not going though, I'm not really that interested in women's tennis.

Wish there was an ATP tournament in Birmingham... that I would go to!

Yeah but its not a proper tournament, only a handle of people.  I would like to be able to watch the pros in a serious tournament.

Its going to be really tough, she plays Melinda Czink, who is ranked 85. Frown

But if she qualifies, she is sure to transcend to another level in terms of confidence. We may then get to see her playing on the tour regularly this time next year. Smile

And in any case, I want a wildcard for her in Hastings.
