According to ESPN , David woke up today with his ankle still hurting and now also swollen. Therefore he has spent the day resting and receiving treatment (Fue Buena). There's apparently no ligament damage but a mild sprain of his right ankle. How things will develop now and how this will affect David's chances in his next match on Friday remains to be seen.[/quote]

Ah well much as I hate to say it (can't help it have major soft spot based on teenage crush
) Roddick deserved to go out. Shame for the Americans having him go out so early though
I wouldn't be surprised if this time next year he retires from tennis professionally

Is Robson playing juniors here? I doubt Golding will be after the youth olympics.

Courage isn't absence of fear but mastery of it.

He did, that's what started the whole saga.
Roddick was called for a foot-fault, he questioned the linejudge which foot, she accidentally said 'right', which is obviously impossible given that would be Roddick's back foot. Cue a 5 minute rant, between points going over to the microphones, constantly muttering 'my right foot, impossible'.
However, the way he reacted just proved to me what an immature brat he can be. The guy is 27 years old, and he was verbally bullying a middle aged lady, classless bastard. Making fun of his opponent is arguably even worse.
Shame - I had quite a lot of respect for him. Sounds like he was doing a Jimmy Connors here.
What does the USO do to some American players? Looks like Roddick took over where Serena left off ...

That's sad news. He might try playing wearing an ankle support though.

Anyone think Gasquet has a chance against Davydenko?

Not really sure, it should be a cracker of a match. Gasquet won't have much time on the ball, Davydenko is so good at keeping his opponents off balance.
I'd predict Davydenko in 4.

I'm not even certain Gasquet can get one set if Davydenko plays the way he did in his opening match .... striking the ball very sweetly.

Cilic and Nishikori have been playing for 2hrs 17 mins and they've only just finished the 2nd set.

Well, I was wrong about Gasquet .... he's got the first set and a break in the second. Davydenko not playing as sharply as he was the other day.

Almost 2 hours later and they're into the 5th.

Do we think Taylor Dent can upset Soderling later?
Federer progressing to the next round with ease it seems.

Depends, if Soderling plays anything above 50%, he'll win.
Dent won't be able to achieve the level that Llodra did yesterday.
