If Berdych can take out the world no 1, and stop him getting to his 30 something semi final in a row, there is no reason why the current World no 3, can't take out the current World No 2. He knows he can do it, in the same way that Ferrer knew he couldn't do it in any match of note. Prove the doubters wrong Murray lad.

Andy Murray - US Open and Wimbledon champion! :)

Not the result I wanted, but an expected one too. Ferrer just doesn't have the power to hit through Novak - whilst this alone doesn't stop him from defeating ball bashers from time to time, Novak combines aggressive play with amazing defense - just too good.

Ferrer's had a really good tournament - reaching a SF on his worst surface. Plus I loved the Tipsarevic match, that was a great match to win.

Andy should make things a lot more difficult for Novak tomorrow, especially if Novak starts the match serving as poorly as he was today.

No way is hard Ferrer's worst surface.

It was good news - worth a double posting!
Third set seems quite a battle, still in 4th game, going with serve.

You're right, forgot about grass for some reason! But he does seem to get better results on slower hardcourts.

Ferrer is pretty good on hard. Probably his 2nd best surface after clay. Slow courts help his game and gives him enough time to prepare for his shots.

Peliwo had just broken Broady from 40-15 down and will now serve for the Championship.

Peliwo wins 7-5 in the 3rd. Frown

Liam has come so, so close on two different occasions but it's just not to be.

His many problem was chucking away 40-0/40-15 leads on his own service games. Time and time again he comfortably got himself a few game points, then choked and couldn't take it. Ended up struggling through long service games or getting broken when he should have been holding with ease. Not dissimilar to Murray's second set in the Wimbledon final.

Watched him lose two Slam finals now and Murray lose four. Seems like the Brits are destined never to win one of the bloody things, Golding last year excluded.

A tweet from Mike Dickson, one of the journalists:
Liam Broady loses 7-5 in very tight third set of junior final. More work on the serve and he could still become quite a player.

The final sentence reminds me of Andy.

Is Anyone here giving Azarenka a chance here against Serena? I'll pull for her and I hope she plays smart. Serena is the toughest one to beat but if you could just find a way to frustrate her...

I genuinely couldn't care less.

To be blunt.
