The draws have been made for the qualifying event, please let some of the Brits get through, we have:

Dan Evans v Julio Silva
Boggo v Alexander Peya
James Ward v Harold Levy
Josh Goodall v Guillermo Canas

Elena Baltacha v Betina Jozami
Katie O'Brien v Nikola Hofmanova
Georgie Stoop v Marta Domachowska
Laura Robson v Stephanie Foretz
Mel South v Renata Voracova

Katie is through to the second round but Georgie lost, which is a shame seeing she won the first set 6-1.

Laura Robson through to the second round of qualifying 7-5 6-1, was looking a bit tight come the end of the first set with breaks all over the place but clearly stepped it up in the second
Also, Bally's just started so good luck, and Bogdanovic's won his first set and is on the brink of a tiebreak against Peya

What a surprise, all 4 men fell in the first round but at least there are 4 out of the 5 women into the second round, come on the girls.  yay

Laura Robson!  w00t cmon yeah  Into the final qualifying round with a 6-4 7-5 victory. She was double break down in the 2nd as well.

Yay! Methinks she's a fighter! Also, I think the young ones get more of a confidence boost if they qualify, as opposed to being given a WC- they feel like they've earned their place. Maybe that's half the problem with the Brits at Wimbledon...
