He losts but he 's one of the guy of the future ..... Grigor Dimitrov
The last match I saw is Grigor Dimitrov on court 6 against Tobias Kamke of Germany. Dimitrov looks amazing, one of the purest, most flowing one-handers you will ever see, so picturesque that one day you will see the Bulgarian's backhand on the cover of a tennis magazine. You can see hints of Federer, Krajicek and Youzhny in the beautiful game of Dimitrov who is coached by Peter Lundgren. Dimitrov, dressed in all white Adidas and looking like the quintessential champion of the future, is leading 64 44 and connects in both of the last two games with those stunning backhands down the line to win 64. Kamke smashes his racquet twice into the court before he shakes his conqueror's hand.
I catch up to the friendly young man after he signs and takes dozens of photos and embraces some family and friends, and he accepts to do a Biofile over by the practice courts. He says he has many nicknames but modestly suggests I ask someone else to name them, but after prodding for two he does offer: Dynamite Kid and G Force. He also likes playing American football (he likes to play quarterback), is good friends with the Spaniard Feliciano Lopez, and his greatest moment was winning the European 14s. (Tune in later for the full Grigor Dimitrov Biofile.)
