Are you sure you play tennis?
What do you mean? Playing with a racquet that is lighter, has a smaller frame and that has a grip size 2x smaller is a huge difference so naturally when I'm using it for the first time I'm going to make quite a few errors.

This is from a USTA 3.5 tournament.
If these guys are rated 3.5, I'd like to think I'm almost a 4.0.
Just had a look at this thread. Having seen this video, perhaps I'm better than I thought.
My serve is horribly inconsistent, but my groundstrokes are at least on a par with those guys.

lol I would beat both guys 60 60 with my Z(minus) game hehe
hehe.. I actually kind of play a cerebral tennis game (though I hate chess) hehe.. that's why I really love watching Hingis, Federer and Murray play.. they take tennis to another level

After months of waiting, Chris (TCK) and I will begin our tennis campaigns this week! I'm very much looking forward to losing some weight from this, I've been getting a bit chubby recently.

Whereas I've been losing weight pretty well. Of course, my starting point was significantly higher than I'd imagine you're at now (and unless you've seriously let yourself go since last I saw you I'm pretty sure you're still skinnier than me). And then there's the fact that I have little real tennis experience in comparison.
It's gonna be an annihilation!

I've got a feeling it's going to closer than you think even though I have much more experience than you. I'm just not a natural at this game but love it nevertheless!

Dude, I can't serve for ****! I'm not gonna win a game if I can't regularly get the ball in on serve!

So jealous!
Where do you guys play?
I am hoping to get a reasonable membership when I go to in Uni in September, indoor courts would be a dream.

We will be joining a club near Ealing Broadway in April but until then we will try and use free courts in Acton.

Julia, prepare to be disappointed. Seriously, I'll be able to give Mark his first ever announcement of victory on this board after years of being repeatedly thrashed by Tom. Though I look forward to the day where I get to announce victory.
