This is a dilemma in my head, I want Nadal to play because I like him and I want him to retain a nice lead in the rankings but I also realise Murray has a great chance of taking the title this year and even more so if Nadal is not there.
Murray-Federer final if Nadal doesn't play?

It would be awesome and I think Murray would go in with a lot of confidence and to make things even more crazy, the media hype would cling on to his head to head record and make out he was favourite

All this talk about Nadal possibly not being fit, and the championship being a Federer event is a bit pre-emptive.
I agree that Nadal was not at his best at RG, but neither was Federer, Murray or Djokovic. Sodorling played better than he should have which is normal in Slam events, the less likely ranked players show amazing form. However, none of the top four played particularly well.
Last years final was fantastic, with the top 2 players in the world playing one another - but remember the semi -finals, who did they play? Just to stop you looking it was SAFIN and SCHUETTLER. I beleived that Andy would have got the better of Nadal, but the strain of the match before was just too much. I hope he fairs better this year, I think he will be a deserved winner. Still, I wonder what happened at RG to him, Gonzales is a good player and Andy just didnt play anywhere near his best at certain crucial points.
Come on!! Win it this year Andy

I just think that no-one comes close to Federer on grass. Last year was a bad one for him, and Nadal was playing his best.

Just had a sweepstake with my parents, each of us put in a £5er.
Agreed on 18 players who had a more definite chance of winning the title, and we drew out names from a hat to get 6 players.
I got - Nadal, Federer, Hewitt, Cilic, Gonzalez and Wawrinka. Not bad.

If Nadal was 100% fit, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.
Apart from Fed and perhaps a stunning run from Cilic, I'm knackered, I agree.

I would love to see Nadal.
When do you guys think he is likely to play his first match, if at all?
Monday, Tuesday?
If Monday I have to queue up Sunday?

He will play on the Monday, defending champion always opens the tournament on centre court.
So I guess you would have to queue Sunday.

that's great. Thank you. I've never camped before. wish me luck. The hardest thing is finding friends to camp with me as i'm the only one in the group that likes tennis. And camping they hate even more, whether on a pavement or forest.
