http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/4942608.stmWhat do you all think about this. Personally, I think it's right. I mean of course it's just as difficult for women to win as men and of course it's as big an achievement but moneywise they are on court for less time, play less time and should therefore earn less. It's simple ecomonics!

But we must also see that women work equally hard for it and give that physical push as much as possible. You cant say that women dont work as hard as men do......

they should try playing best of five with 130 mph serves coming at them... 101 mph groundstrokes... but if they deserve the money... SURE why not?

But there is no denying that women work equally hard. And being born a man or a woman is not in one's hands. You cant blame women that they cant serve at 130. At some things women are better than men and vice versa. We should not evaluate what we are but how much we are doing. And as women and men work equally hard I say pay them equally.

I stick by my point, if men and woman both play at best of 5 or best of 3 then it should be even. In all other ATP and WTA touraments they both play best of 3, then they should get equal prize money.

I think when the women and men play 3 sets it should equal pay not only to the winner but also to runner up and so on. But when the men play 5 sets and women only play 3 then i see why men get paided more. Don't get me wrong i think women do put in allot of effort but men are willing to go 5 sets and women don't.

One other thing to bear in mind.
Now obviously in an ideal world male footballers wouldn't get paid ridiculous sums of money to play. However, would you argue for equal pay between men and women footballers?

What do you think the deciding factor for male footballer pay is? Clue, since I get the impression you guys are probably going to need it: size of pitch and length of play are not factors, not should they be in tennis.
