I am delghted that Bartoli won. She is now 28 and not many more slams to come her way.
Sabine seems to be a sweet lady and hope she gets to raise her trophy at some point ion her career.

Your goals minus your doubts equal your reality

Well it looks like the Bryan brothers did their golden slam and nobody cares :p

They might as well retire after that, what else are they going to do?

You can only have so much money and it starts to be irrelevant.

I would love to be in a position to evaluate that for myself Smile

It that were truly the case, in material terms we're nearly all affluent in the west. I think its more like having everything you could reasonably aspire to, a much vaguer concept.

Probably not.  I'm not a huge fan of debate.  I'd rather keep myself to myself.

Gosh Inverdales sexist comments were disgraceful .  Re.  About Bartoli.   He is the worst presenter ever.     I find it horrible they way people are talking about Bartoli as if she's vermin.     Tennis players are not models / superhumans.     I like Bartoli.    Congrats to her.

There is certainly a lot of sexism very close to the surface in tennis.  It was brilliant to see Marion take on the bias of the crowd and the bbc all favouring the thin blonde smiley girl and show what a true woman's champion can be.  Awesome.

You don't see the girl who beat undoubtedly the greatest woman's player of all time as a true champion?

I was supporting Lisicki and her appearance has nothing to do with it. Her popularity is down more to personality than anything else. The same reason Tsonga's so popular. Personality. Of course being attractive clearly has a lot to do with it with some people, but it's harsh to dig at Lisicki purely for being a nice person and quite popular..

I may joke about it but 'm not going to call her fat. It's just no where near the athletic body you'd need in men's tennis.

You called her Fatoli.

Well this is a pathetic final so far - Fatoli having it far too easy.
