As much as i hate to say this, Federer played very well in that match, ominous form.

I would've been surprised had Hanescu won more than five games. Awful grass player.

Courage doesn't always roar - but wins Wimbledon

When the draw was put together I wonder if they gave any thought to Federer's opener being monstrously boring. I'd have given him someone like Fallah, who can push him. He really didn't have any sort of opponent in Hanescu.

I don't know how many times I have to say that the draw is randomized XD

He usually does play well against the lower ranked players. But not so well against the top guy's these days. I don't think we can take anything out of this match today. We will have to wait until later in the tournament when he comes up against tougher opposition to see what sort of form he's really in. The trouble with the lower ranked guys is that they don't truly believe that they can beat the top guys.

I know it's random. I was joking, for goodness sake.

Blimey, not even a day in and some of us have already had a sense of humour bypass. God help us when Andy is deep in the tournament.

Andy doesn't need to care about Federer at all, he's Nadal's problem.

it's difficult to say. fed's form is so varied these days, and he always looks great week one of a slam - or usually - especially at wimbledon. but who knows (nose?), perhaps he was preparing this year specifically for another win here? he certainly loves it and it suits his game - plus he has winner's points to defend. the key question is this: can he take out rafa???

Wow Azarenka is like a little child when she gets injured. Come on. Screaming and wailing. I mean, I'm sure it hurt but at least retain some dignity.
