When the draw was put together I wonder if they gave any thought to Federer's opener being monstrously boring. I'd have given him someone like Fallah, who can push him. He really didn't have any sort of opponent in Hanescu.

Falla lost in straights too.

Courage doesn't always roar - but wins Wimbledon

Ah, but he's pushed Fed before at Wimbledon, and again at the Olympics. Hanescu just didn't have anything to compete with, that was my point.

Cilic beat Marcos. Was hoping that Marcos might win that match. Wishful thinking i know he's really struggling with his game at the moment.

True but Hanescu surprisingly didn't play as rotten as the scoreboard suggests, well up until the 3rd set anyway, it was just Fed playing some really impressive stuff, his stats for the match are very good especially his serving. Like others have said, let's see how he does later on against players who don't shy away from his over inflated ego.

Looking forward to seeing a bit of Rafa's match now. It'll be interesting to see how well he plays on grass this year.

How do the female players never get a sore throat or lose their voice?

Rafa had to save two break points in his first service game.

...and another in his second service game.

Darcis is an underrated grass courter, he beat Berdych last year on the surface. He's dangerous. Rafa looks undercooked to say the least.
