Nice pics Bev. What was the atmosphere like? Did you find it easy to watch the game from that angle behing the posts?
I didn't watch it as I had too much to do. Watched both the World Cup games in the morning before going to my own football match in the afternoon so had to study, so decided to give this game a miss. Thought Ireland were gonna win though when I checked the score at 1 point and they were up 23-15.

I was lucky enough to go to the All Blacks vs British Lions test in Auckland last year, only rugby match I have ever been to. There was an old rugby thread a little while ago and I posted a few pics, so check there if you want to see.
We had pretty much the best seats in the house, right on the half way line. But I found it very hard to see the play. When the ball was on the other side of the pitch we had to look at the screen to see what was going on, particularly in the rucks etc. What was it like watching from that angle?

Atmosphere was really good.  Mixed supporters where we were and a couple of old guys behind us thought they were the two old guys in the balcony from the muppets! 

I was quite impressed with my seats actually!  When Brian (O'Driscoll) came over the line for his try, everyone stood up to see where he planted the ball, but then sat back down again.  Yes, I couldn't see what was happening at the far end of the field a couple of times, but just looked to the big screen.  For the $160 (about 55 pounds) we paid for the tickets for 5 of us was really good value in my mind, and I wouldn't have any problems about sitting in the same seats again! I was a very neutral supporter and applauded both sides - my hubby wasn't quite so generous with his praise, supporting his new adoptive country!   Like I said, I only missed the commentary part but thoroughly enjoyed my first test rugby match!

You lucky thing seeing the Lions!  Will check out the photos in the morning - bed time now for me! 

hehe thanks bev!! i listened on the radio (i put my foor down at work!!) lol and i was so impressed with our boys - they forgot totally hhow often the all blacks beat them and they gave it their all - it showed lol!! great pics btw bev - but you need some close ups of brian and o gara mmmmmmmm!!!! x(",)x

Haven't seen the team list - were they just making up the numbers or what?  I know that a few key players elected to stay at home, but surely everyone plays to win, don't they?  I really think that the team has slumped since Robinson took over!  He should have got the boot, never mind been demoted!
