Re: AM.com to copy RTR « Reply #31 on: January 05, 2007, 11:02:52 PM »

its not about stealing ideas its about sharing.... from what i remember RTR came from the atps idea of predicting...

do you remeber when we did that ? took u guys 4hrs on msn to work it out, i left after 2 hours coz i was going out , and we lost in the 1st round lol

i think the idea on AM is to make a game that doesnt have as much work as the one over herer

no you're wrong, that was for a $1million comp for predicting every match before the tournament started

RTR came first actually and it is not at all the same Rochelle....its not even the work that people would have to do....THE FORUM IS NOT SOPHISTICATED ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH IT!!

The first event was TMS Cincinatti which I believe was during the middle of August. Smile

I'm not entirely sure Rochelle because I wasn't a member of staff when RTR was formulated. The idea is the same, but the rules and methods of predicting are totally different. Smile

I think RTR was implemented just to make MW unique and for a bit of friendly competition between users.  cmon yeah

RTR came about after brain storming in the staff forum... this happened before any ATP competition.. before the $1m, before the Fantasy Tennis... If anything... ATP copied us lol

Oh right... may not before that then but I wasn't personally aware of ATP's Fantasy Tennis at the time maybe Think

But MW is nothing like those competitions... the format had to be thought up from scratch.

We've been talking about it on the Staff forum for a long time

How about come up with your own idea, go to AM.com and do it

Don't do RTR, don't steal activeboard's predicting game (which was also suggested)...come up with it urself

RTR has it's own rules, has taken a lot of time to create the sub-forum and we created our own game

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

oh m god rafa ... i only suggested we can do a basic thing ... i was never going to make anything up which was like YOURS ( as you have seemed to claim this game)and i was never gonna take something like Cox'x off his site...

o and by the way

http://www.murraysworld.com/talk/tennis-talk/mw-weekly-contest-t3331.0.html

this shows that it was taken from the ATP's idea
