Sorry that I missed this! Well done Andy lad!
From the beeb:
Andy Murray gave his best ever performance on clay in an impressive straight-sets win over Argentina's Jose Acasuso at the French Open.

Can't make a leopard change it's spots, even if you can train it to jump through a hoop (or stop using the dropshot)

I dont think so, this tops it and if I'm right, Petch said similar
Nah! I've watched nearly every televised match he's ever played...he's won some blinders, this was a bit one sided.
But still absolutely great to see the old Andy ( sheesh, he's old at 21!!...) Just keep it up.
I have 2 theories
a) he is great against players he hasn't played before
b) he only plays well AFTER 3pm.
A lark is so not Andy. Pity they dont have night matches at Wimby.

It was from a thread by Mark so you would have to ask him were it came from.

Yes, on clay and at Tour level, this was without a doubt the best performance, since it's the first decent match he's played on clay on tour... if my memory is correct.
However - best match ever?! I still think that was the Nadal match in Oz...

Was that really Andy there!
That was brilliant.
Glad I managed to record all, but the first few games, of that.

He was very good today! What was with all the net play? Almagro in the 3rd? Very tough!

What a difference 48 hours can make! 67% first serves in and 8 aces! At last he has shown us what he can do with his serve!
Well done, Andy! Keep it up!

f**king A (as we say).
Long may it continue.
Let's hope that this was a glimpse of the New Andy, rather than an echo of the Old Andy ...
