Unlikely Djokovic will lose to Guccione but you never know. Nadal has just lost to Malisse which is a bit of a surprise.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Nadal losing to Malisse is not a surprise... Nadal loses to just about every decent hardcourter in the top 30...

Baghdatis just lost a lot of points.
Not sure of the permatations, but I think if Andy does well, he will be ranked higher on the Monday after the AO.

Hes already higher, I think! Baghdatis would need to go a few more rounds thatn Andy to overtake!

OK, so not surprisingly Baghdatis is gone from the top 20. The 4th round potential meeting with Nadal would be huge. Not only would Andy earn 250 points for winning it (then up to 1750) , but he would almost certainly overtake Djokovic and move to 14th in the world +. (unless Novak beats Federer in rnd 4....) Ferrer and Berdych are also within reach if they underperform - making 12th possible just from beating Nadal. Haas, Ancic and Nalbandian also have points to defend (especially bandy) so if Murray were somehow to reach the semisand move to 1950 there would be an outside chance of top 10...

Really? His played one good match against a mediocre player and a poor match against Verdasco... how can you be satisfied already this week? I bet Murray wishes all his fans were as easily pleased as you
I want a fourth round match against Nadal, anything less is a disappointment.

I'm not particularly bothered if he plays Nadal. Although Nadal's a great player, I think he'll be burnt out in the next few years. I think he puts too much physically into each shot. Andy had the look of a killer in the last set against Fernando. Lets Go!

the way i see it is ... last year he was knocked out 1st round , this year he is already into the 3rd round without dropping a set... so im pleased with this , i no his game has improved since last year . Im sure he will get futher than the 3rd round

That's fair enough.
The way I see it is he is no longer the underdog and he is now rightfully expected to win his matches against lower ranked players so if he gets knocked out after beating no one above him then it is a big disappointment. If he at least beats one player who is above him in the rankings before getting knocked out then that is something.

Personally I think it's time Nadal got himself a proper coach - there's only so far ou can go with dad or uncle fred. with a good trainer he wouldn't burn out.
