I thought the rankings came out on Monday not after whatever tournament they want to count. So why no update on there website yet.

They'll be updated after the USO final.

I guess they will come out on Monday. Just late on Monday, after the final. Which is fair enough.

yes sorry I was not thinking. the match will definitely finish on Monday In the USA. so the ATP must be running on some American time and NOT Universal time (ie old GMT)

The site is run by Americans, or at least the database is in the USA.

It's just normally Monday, but of course they'll wait if tourneys aren't finished yet. I've seen them out on sunday before...

Rankings are out but we all knew the state of play before hand. With Andy having a 550 point lead of 5th and being 1800 off 3rd this thread may not get as much activity as in the last few months. Hoping for Andy to increase that lead over the chasing pack in the last part of the year. To make number 4 his own and enjoy the advantages that come with having his own quarter in all the mandatory tournaments. Then I guess it's onwards to the first quarter of next year where he has a chance to bridge the gap on Nole. Onwards and Upwards

He's at 4th, wonderful sight. 'Shark Bites' article on the ATP shows Andy has a great career record against top 10 players, better than Nole's, by some distance.

He was 22nd after Miami, things looked grim.

His ranking had a hole the shape of 2 grand slams and 4(?) masters series, plus poorish results from the recovery period!
He was almost always top 10 in the race?
Some people said then that he'd be top 8 by US Open and top 4 by year end... cough...

And so it begins. The chase is well and truly on to catch Nole.
Down to 1430 by my calculations with another 125 or 275 points still up for grabs for Andy.
Onwards and upwards.

I suspect this thread will become a lot quieter for the foreseeable future...
