For anyone interested,  in the Telegraph, Federer's very valid reason for not staying in the Olympic village is that last time he didn't get a minute's peace when in public i.e. the restaurant - because so many people wanted his autograph. Can see his point. Nadal has been the centre of attention at the airport and I don't expect he'll have much peace either.

Andy in two.

I'm not too bothered where Federer stays. But I do understand the reason if it is true.

Yep and even if he didn't have that reason, I don't think his less of a person - people like different things.

It's a good job we're writing in English, then.

Tuesday?  Surely the rest of the 1st round matches will be on Monday?

So Monday 10 a.m. for Andy singles and 2.p.m. for doubles - I'll be dog and cat watching as they've just been introduced - so far the kitten is in control - same as the one at the dog's home. Dog might be out on a long walk on Dartmoor so I can indulge my Murraymania.

This match is a gimme..nice easy intro into the olympics for Muzza.

It is a blessing too as he will be playing shortly afterwards in the doubles!
