Another hour until the draw.
James Ward is now the 3rd alternate for the qualifying.

But I think he would have to withdraw as he is still in the quarters of a 10K in Spain.

the draw is here

he has a harder start (apart from the bye, as he is the 8th seed) but better late rounds as he is in the quater with Davy a potential semi with Fed but at least wont meet Djoker or Nadal unless he makes the final.

I think it's a really good draw. His first match is obviously going to be harder than this week, but not the toughest match imaginable, and everything after is much, much smoother.
R2: Querrey/Mathieu
R3: Gasquet/Safin/Tursunov
QF: Davydenko
SF: Federer/Roddick
Round 2, in theory, is tougher, but Mathieu is in awful form and wouldn't stand a chance. Querrey should win that match due to being at home, but that's as far as he'll get. An out-of-form Andy should deal with Querrey comfortably. Gasquet should win out to round 3, but you never know with Safin. Andy would again be favourite against Gasquet, and I see that as no harder a match than Wawrinka this week. If he can navigate through round 3, for me his trickiest round, then I see him making the final. I'm by no means certain Davy will make it to the quarters (Tipsarevic is a good bet; Stepanek, Isner and Andreev are all in his section too) but presuming he does, I think Andy will have too much for him. And that leaves a mouthwatering potential semi with Fed, which would be awesome to see. But I don't think it would be a shock to anyone now to see Fed fall much earlier, even though he has a really easy draw. Ginepri could cause him trouble in round 2, Karlovic in round 3, Roddick in the quarters.
If Andy falls here, it'll be early. Otherwise I'm predicting a first, or maybe even second, masters final!

No reason why Andy shouldn't reach the final here he has a really good draw, On a good day he can beat anyone of the players up to the final.
