so a great chance to get closer to James Blake by beating him here and staying in the top 10.

Blake will drop way down after Cincinnati, he won't defend his final points, while Andy still has virtually nothing until the US Open, so I don't think Blake will be a ranking threat for much longer.

Hope Andy plays here, he should make the final which sets him up nicely for a great hardcourt season.

Looking at Andy's ATP page he has played here only once losing to Fish in the 2nd Round in 2005. I could have sworn I watched him playing Clement and Tursunov there on Eurosport in 2006.

Oh right, maybe. Did he withdraw from Indianapolis last year when he was injured?

Yes
You know, Andy currently had 3 wins and a final on his best 5 so if he does win here, his best 5 will be truly brilliant.

If he wins, he could gain about 100 points. Thats not bad. More or less compensates for Metz because I doubt he will play that this year. I think that was just for match practise.
But how does that work? If he wins this tournament he gains 175 points but loses Dubai of 75 points, therefore net gain of 100. But if he doesnt play metz, will Dubai come back on.
