No, not a good clay season but a good end to one.

Yes, it would have been, because if i'm not mistaken it'll mean he'll be in the top 10 just taking the results for the clay. And for clay being his worst season, to be top 10 is very good.

Don't care about rankings in regards to this - he didn't have a clay season last year.

You've misunderstood me. I meant that looking at ranking points earned this year during the clay, he'd be top 10. Nothing to do with defending points, just the total points earned this year...

I get what you mean Yamor, and I think with that you have to call it a good season. If Murray makes the Quarters here the most points he'll have on any surface in the last 12 month period'll be from the clay will it not? Surely you'd have to call his clay season a success. He only really had one crap result and it was at a tournament he wasn't going to play! If he hadn't played Barca I don't think we'd have half as bad an impression of his season as we do.

I'd rather have Andy beat Almagro and then play Tursunov - a great chance of making the QFs in that case.

I do think Tursunov would be better for Murray than Chardy with the French crowd and all that.

Yeah Tursunov by far would be best as it's on clay.
