Oh no, poor you! Exams and wall to wall tennis on TV are never a good combination in my book.
Queen's is a good place to get a ground pass for - particularly for the first couple of days - it's really not expensive - I think last year about £15, and because there's only one show court, there are lots of big names on the outer courts - especially for doubles. If I don't get a centre court ticket I'll definitely go along for a ground pass. Unlike Wimbledon you don't have to queue all night!! They are for sale on the gate when the gates open. In tennis terms a bargain!!

Forgive me for my lack of tennis knowledge on these things but what does the (SE) stand for? on
46 (SE)
47 (SE)
My guess would be something to do with ranking in the future? eg closer to the event?

Maybe secured entry? Probably to do with whoever's ranked high enough at the time. I'll find out.

I found this....

SE is special exemption.
From what I know it is for people who will reach a high stage in the tournament the week before but are not ranked high enough to get a direct entry into Hamburg. That is they needed to qualify but were participating elsewhere. Its unlikely that such a situation will arise.
I am not sure and am just guessing. Anyone can help?

Ah I remember that now. Makes much more sense than the SE abbreviation search I did. I got Sweden, Stock Exchange and Snake Eater...

Ok. Some little facts about Queens. Often seen as the official 'warm-up' tournament for Wimbledon interesting to find out how often it is an actual dress rehersal for the real thing.
In the last 20 years:
3 times the champion of Queens has gone on to win at SW19. Hewitt in 02 and Sampras in 99 and 95.
Twice the winner has gone out in R1- Philippousis 97 and Hewitt in 00
Once the winner has lost in R2- Becker 87
Once the winner has fallen in R3- Becker 96
Twice in R4- Hewitt 01, Ferreira 92
Twice Q's- Stitch 93, Hewitt 06
Five times S's- Lendl 89,90, Edberg 91, Roddick 03
Three times the winner has made finals- Roddick 04, 05 and Becker 89
Only 5 men have won here and not won at the All England Club. Lendl, Ferreira, Martin, Phiippousis and Andy Roddick.
And 3 times the winner of Wimbledon has made the finals of Queens. Sampras in 00 and 94 and in 88 where the finalists for Wimbledon and Queens were the same but the result reversed. No surprise between Becker and Edberg. On this occassion Edberg took the bigger trophy.
Other than Federer only 4 of the champions in the last 20 years have failed to play at Queens that year. Becker in 89, Stitch in 91, Agassi in 92 and Krajicek in 96.
If Andy can take the title here at some point his odds on grabbing that slam title dramatically increase!
