Andy Murray lost his semi-final match against Rafael Nadal after giving an incredible challenge to the world no-2.

The Scot played some of the most aggressive tennis of his career against the Spaniard but went down fighting, 6-7 (2-7) 3-6.

After the match, Murray said:

He's definitely doing a lot of things better than he was in the past.

I think he's moving better on hard courts, and I think he's sort of changing the pace of the ball a little bit more and not playing so far behind the baseline like he did in the past.

That's why I think he'll be number one in the world soon.

It was a match full of superb shots and exciting tennis from both players. He gave Nadal a super run for his money, playing with brilliance and consistancy. These two matches have shown the critics that Murray is a very worthy opponent to the very best of the world players. We knew he could do it - now he has proved it.m Well done, Andy.

From the beeb:

"I played very well against Andy today because, in my opinion, he played one of his best matches against me," Nadal said afterwards.

Superb match.  I believe if Murray got his 1st serve higher, he could have won.  His 2nd serve last night and against Djokovic is the best I've seen it.  The way he has used his forehand in the last three matches have been encouraging.  If he keeps it up and becomes accustomed to it, that itself will become a weapon and the unforced errors will reduce the more he uses it to that affect

Hardlines Andy, thought it would be a tad closer than the last encounter - Nadal is 28 matches unbeaten now, form of his life.

How's the knee, anyone know the updated story?

Commentators thought it could be Murray's constant knee problem where one day it will hurt a lot and the next it's absolutely fine.
