Andy Murray settles into life in the sleepy retirement resort of Indian Wells in California, where the first Masters Series event of the year starts on Friday, he could not be further removed from the bright lights and seedy tat of Las Vegas, his place of work last week.
In Las Vegas every known temptation is available 24/7, in Indian Wells it is impossible to buy a cup of coffee after 10pm because all the locals are asleep in bed.
While the tournament may not attract many of the world's media, the main men on the ATP Tour are all headed this way. They want to take a look at the new kid on the block and see what he has learnt since winning his first title in San Jose three weeks ago.
As all eyes focus on Murray, Andy Roddick, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal know that it is the outside pressures that can make or break the new young talent coming through the ranks. And coming from Britain, a country desperate for success in SW19, Murray faces a rougher ride than most.
