Commentator Threlfall dies at 81. « on: March 07, 2007, 07:19:30 PM »

BBC Article

Must have been something very sudden. He was last commentating in Rotterdam. Frown RIP.

Just saw a report with Mark Petchey paying tribute to him.

Must have been something very sudden.

It doesn't say how he died in the article. Someone still so active at that age couldn't have died just like that. Think
Anyway, looks like he had a fulfilling life. Shame.

Yeah I was wondering why he died too... especially considering he was quite fit for an old man.

Ah no, he was one of my favourite commentators Frown.  Just look at who Sky is left with now... Well ok some of them are ok, but you know who I mean...

Good god if Cowan features more in Sky's coverage I may be tempted to switch off lol.

There are a lot of tributes to Bill on the BBC website. He was an amazing guy.
