Condom plays tunes « on: October 04, 2006, 12:36:13 PM »

A musical condom has been invented that gets louder as the sex gets more passionate.

Different sexual positions determine what tune is played by the condom reports The Sun.

The contraceptive has tiny sensors connected to a mini electronic device that produces the sounds.

Ukrainian inventor Dr Grigoriy Chausovskiy said: "There is no danger of being electrocuted."

They will cost 20 per cent more than normal condoms. "But people will pay for the extra stimulation," he added.

I'm assuming this uses nanotechnology - always good to see how nanotechnology is making progress and especially its use on publicly available products. It's a subject I'm very interested in and can't wait for the next 20 years where there will be some incredible inventions.

A couple of products that I have noticed which are available to all of us: Completely waterproof fabrics (GAP sell these) / Self cleaning glass /  Non-scratch paint (good for cars) / L'OrĂ©al use it to improve the beauty of their products. There are a hell of a lot more but can't remember them.

A lot of products won't actually advertise the word 'nano' as many find it confusing and there are some people who think the development and progress of nanotechnology is a very bad thing.
Now you can't have a go at me for posting this report because I just made it sensible! yay

A musical condom Think
I guess it would be more of a laugh than more stimulation. Could anyone stay serious when it starts to ring or sing lol

Mark, as your interested in Nanotechnology, have you read Michael Crichton's novel Prey???

It's based on that idea and actually is quite a good read, if you can believe the possibilities of Nanotechnology!

Would that be the 'grey goo' theory? Self replicating robots turning the world into chemical sludge? No I haven't read it but I think I've herd about it Smile

"In the Nevada desert, a handful of scientists are battling to retrieve a swarm of rogue micro-robots that has escaped from the lab. The swarm is self-sustaining, self-reproducting and capable of learning from experience. It is to all intents and purposes, alive. And very, very deadly. Because it has been programmed as a ruthless predator, a predator that becomes more dangerous with every passing hour...
And we are the PREY"

It's very good. I would definitly recommend it.
