I think it's wherever you consider yourself to be from. Be that originally, or where you live now. Personally, I will always feel that I am from Newport until I have lived away for say..... 5 or more years?

My best friend at Uni was from Newport, but most of the time said she was from Dundee.

Well, I didn't used to do that.... but I do a little now..... mainly cause no one knows where Newport is!
