A record eighth-wicket stand between Ravi Bopara (43no) and Stuart Broad (45no) led England to a three-wicket win over India and a 3-1 series lead.

As I left for work, they'd recently lost Collingwood and 7 wickets and thought them doomed.  sorry  I should have kept the faith and this is a great win for England!  clapping

We've got a good player on our hands here with this Broad. Already looks a class bowler and he's pretty handy with the bat. Not the first time he's hit useful runs in the lower order. As he gets older and more experienced and develops more I reckon we're going to see him gradually move up the batting order eventually into a Flintoff sort of role.

4-51 with the ball and 45 not out with the bat. Smile
Amazing partnership considering all we had left after that pair were Anderson and Panesar. And I'm a better batter than those 2! lol Very Happy

Well we were in real trouble in the 6th ODI, losing both openers early and at one stage being 83-4.
But Luke Wright, who I've never heard of, hit 50 on debut, Owais Shah scored 107 not out, and Dimitri Mascarenhas hit 5, yes 5 sixes off the last over. shocking
316-6. Lets have a good one with the ball now and wrap up the series please guys.

Was too tired to watch this last night - what bit I saw it was 90 something for 4 wickets Rolling Eyes and I thought they'd no chance but that was a bloody good score - 5 sixes from Maracas (know it's mascharanes or something) at the end clap but still not good enough!  Nailbiter of a match at the weekend nervous

England leading the final ODI.

The bowled out India for 187 and are 54 for 2 after 10 overs. Although both openers, Prior and Wright, were both out for 0. shocking

Anyone following any of the cricket games today? A lot happening - SA vs NZ, Australia vs SL, India vs Pakistan...
Looks like India are on for a big total - 260-6 after 40 overs. Thats as long as they can bat the full 50.

Justin Langer's replacement Phil Jacques scored a hundred. Such depth in Australia. Ready made replacement who would have walked into any other test team over the last 2 or 3 years.

I think you should wait a bit before saying that - he might turn out like matt prior for england - scored a century on debut, and rubbish ever since.
Also, he was dropped 2 or 3 times on the way to his century. One thing for sure, he's definitely not as good as langer!
