Cox is playing at the LTA Junior International Championships where he got in as a wildcard. Andy was beaten in the finals by Monfils in 2004.

Cox is currently ranked 238 in the Juniors Combined rankings. His opponent was Christian Vitulli of Kenya, two years older than him and ranked 207 places higher! But Cox won the match 62 64. shocking

Graeme Dyce(134) lost to Emiliano Massa(43) of Argentina 76 67 16. I am a bit disappointed. Frown

David Rice(162) bt Sergio Rojas(83) of Peru 63 62. He is our second highest ranked Junior. This is impressive. clap

Alan Wright(unranked) lost to Jun-Chao Xu(51) of China 67 26.

Harry Skinner(291) lost to Kellen Damico(26) of the USA 64 46 26.

Simon Childs(206) lost to Ivan Sergeyev(12) of Ukraine 26 75 46.

Ian Atkinson(441) lost to Thiemo De Bakker(1) of the Netherlands 36 67. I expected Ian to win a round, but not much chance when you draw the top seed. Frown

Rice gave a good performance, while Corrie and Cox gave jaw dropping ones.

Cox plays the ninth seed Sho Aida of Japan.

Aida is ranked 15 and is two years older. I will be happy if Cox gets a set. Smile

Not counting out a win, although its not likely at all. Most probably he will be thrashed around the park. But I have faith in him. Very Happy

Rice plays Brydan Klein of Australia, who is ranked 47. Not much chance again. Frown

Corrie plays tenth seed and world number 16 Arthur Chernov of Russia. Not much hope. Frown
