He says that the rumor is completely untrue.  yay

Good. Very Happy
I've kinda got used to him.
And if there's going to be a short break-ish, it must be better to have the same doc when it comes back (Colin Baker being the exception which proves that rule).

He acts like an annoying teen boy with an overdose of female hormones. If that makes sense.

But I do like his Doctor....just not one of my favourites.

Re: Doctor Who Appreciation Thread « Reply #154 on: December 28, 2007, 10:33:55 AM »

I thought this year's Christmas special was a bit too Russell TD. Yawn.
Still, at least Kylie wasn't supposed to be from a dysfunctional Londonshire family ...

Does anyone else think they're beginning to feel quite samey and formulaic: not only can you see plot elements coming, but the underlying morality (while not quite as awful as US shows like ST) is beginning to cloy. And a lot of the characters are pretty much interchangeable.
Speaking of which, DT's Doctor is still pretty similar to DT's Casanova ...

I know RTD's more hands-off now and (thank god) he's not writing too many stories (most of my least favourite stories are by him), but isn't it time RTD moved on? New producers, new styles and new ideas will always strengthen the show (even JNT had a few good years).

And just to round up this particular moan, is anyone else dreading Cafferin Tate?

I am! She's not right for an assistant long-term.

(And DT's Who IS like his Casanova - but I love them both!)

Shouldn't we be getting an actress/actor for the job?

Don't get me wrong - fine for a quest appearance, but I found her a bit irritating even after an hour!

... god, it's Bonnie Langford all over again ...
