SPOOF: Andy Murray signed up for Fred Perry biopic

It was confirmed last night that British tennis sensation, Andy Murray, has been signed up to appear in a new biopic about Fred Perry.

"This is a real coup," a spokesperson told the Spoof. "Perry was the last British man to win the singles final at Wimbledon some 70 years ago, and we're hopeful the biopic will be completed by 2009, in time to commemorate the centenary of his birth. He deserves to be portrayed on film by an authentic tennis player, and who is there better than Murray, a Brit who is hotly tipped to win Wimbledon himself in the next few years."

Andy Murray To Play Wimbledon 2008 In Kilt

Andy Murray, the moody Scottish tennis player, is heading for a showdown with the games ruling body, after he declared his intention to break the strict dress code for Wimbledon 2008, by wearing a tartan kilt with NOTHING UNDERNEATH.

HeHe, funny. The question is, would he be allowed to play in a kilt (disregarding what's underneath) if it was white?

Or, could he walk onto court in a kilt (like Roger does with the suit...) ?

I don't have a rule book by hand, but enough time to wonder... (for a change)

Did we not already know this? Isn't it to do with Davis Cup and going out to Argentina and training in London?

Probably Lorna.... The schedule after DC looks like Marseille, Rotterdam, then Dubai, before the US Masters Series

I'm sure there was something about this being a more sensible schedule because of the DC commitments away back when our opponents were first drawn. Nevermind, much more difficult field to the US circuit. Djoko, Fed and Nadal all known to frequent some of this 3...

It is understood that the 20-year-old will choose to spend more time in Europe in the early part of the year and not defend his title in San Jose, California, where he has triumphed in successive years. More likely, he will play in Marseilles and Rotterdam in February and could enter the Dubai Open before the two American Masters Series events in Indian Wells and Miami in March.
I've known that for about 2 months.  Think
