Spent all day gambling on Cheltenham! Even though I was working. And I won with Denman. I also got a couple of placings that paid out. Pretty much just baccked McCoy and Walsh all day long!
I was dong a tipster competition today! Was in the lead after race 1, but with the Gold Cup and Foxhunters to come, I blew it! Finished 2nd, but nothing for 2nd place! Gutted!

Had the extremely rare opportunity of meeting a Nobel Prize winner today!
Joe Stiglitz, one of the top economists in the world, was giving a talk this evening and offered to meet with staff and post-graduate students from the economics department in the afternoon. Was quite interesting, he talked for about 40 minutes about things going on at the moment in the US economy, particularly the current debate over mortgage policies.
Another Nobel Prize winning economist, Robert Lucas, is also supposed to be coming to our University next week as one of the speakers in some sort of lecture. Be interesting to go to that one as I have studied a fair bit of his stuff in macroeconomics courses.

Picked friends up from Auckland Airport - nothing so grand as what Alex did
but maybe just as enjoyable!
Saw something on news tonight about people in US setting their homes on fire so that they can claim insurance and not get home repossessed - not a good thing to do

Went to the gym and did a good work out so I'm that little bit more physically confident when I meet my MD tomorrow - I might be asking for a pay rise.

Went to the ENT clinic and got a fibre optic camera shoved up my nose and down my throat. About a foot in length of it too. Didnt hurt but made my eyes water. I was scared i was going to sneeze and break the cable!

Good thanks, just organised a date where we would do it all formal. I prepared just in case it happened there and then.

Finally signed the papers with the Notary today! Everything went fine. So I paid off my car loan, and paid off my visa debt. WooHoo.

I missed the bus, after walking to the bus station in the rain, then had to go to my friends for shelter, for an hour, to wait for the next bus, missing my first lesson, nearly missed the bus the second time, then got into college, found out, all my lessons except one had been cancelled, so I went shopping, then went for something to eat, came home, and now....
I'M BORED!!

Tut tut. I'm going to a 21st tomorrow and my ex will be there so I'm wearing a look-what-you-are-missing-out-on-and-go-jump-off-a-motorway-bridge dress
And during the day tomorrow I'm going shopping

Helped our friends book a whalewatch tour when they go down to the south island next week. Then went on our own boat trip - gentle cruise up/down the Waikato River just doesn't compare to a whale watch trip
