Getting ready for work...  

I find it very hard to take in stuff that I'm bored with but that's what I'm trying to do.  However, there are some pictures in the questions, and that's what caught me out yesterday when I failed 2!

I'm just checking out where my friend in the land of OZ is moving to  still next to the beach  Was what we wanted to do when we moved here, but too busy on the costal towns and schools were crap!  Never mind, kids will leave one day

Yes, we had to go through the immigration process - works on points - had to have police checks, medicals, hubby got a degree (to get out points up) - process didn't take that long really, you make an expression of interest to move to the country, you're put in the pool along with other peoples requests, you may get selected out (we were selected in 1st draw! ) and then you have a sh*t load of paperwork to sort out (medicals, getting hubby's qualifications verified by NZQA over in NZ, etc) and then resubmitting it all (timeframe on that part ) and then wait!  Hubby had a telephone interview for about 20 minutes and then you normally have to wait again to see if you get offered a permit but hubby was told there and then that we'd been accepted as permanet residents! Took about 6 months altogether.  What a pity it's not the same in the UK.  There are people that bend the rules to get in here - basically you can buy you way in! - but one of the criteria we had to fit was to speak and write fluent English!  Not the case when you buy your way in as Alex will testify (lots of non English speaking Asians his neck of the wood) but at least they are making an effort.

Surprise Surprise phone call, but it;s not the delivery men with the bed, (they just arrived now) but the delivery of shale/blaes for the tennis courts! Damn! So many frigging deliveries this week!

Now I'm about to wash the car!
